The Crete-Monee Cavaliers show choir held a preview of their show on January 25. The preview, which took place in the auditorium, was enjoyed by family and friends. The Cavaliers' theme for the show was beach fun, and they shared their excitement with the audience.

In addition to the Cavaliers' performance, there were solos, a performance from a small singing group called Mics On, and a performance from Mother McAuley's high school show choir.
The Cavaliers think their show is Grand Champ-worthy and can make the finals.
Junior Sarah Muehlberg has been on the team for three years. She said the energy was terrific, and the group did well.
"Well this being my third preview, I was a little less nervous than my first time. But it's always a new experience, you know, showing the show for the first time ever and letting it be out there," Muehlberg said.
Muehlberg said it was an early day, and she was exhausted. Everyone had to arrive at 12, and they ran their show many times.
"For our division, we're gonna win—it's a guarantee—and we're going to make the finals, and we're gonna get, I think we'll get fourth place in finals. But Grand Champs in our division. That's my prediction,” Muehlberg said.
Junior Carli Sawallisch has been on the team for three years. Despite the little messes, she said the preview was good, and it still went well.
"We did pretty good, I'm not gonna lie. Better than what we usually do," Sawallisch said.
Sawallisch said the worst part of the show was Aretha Franklin's "Hello Sunshine" because of the vocals, and the best number was "Surf Crazy" by The Teen Beach Cast.
Junior Diamond Moreno has been on their team for two years. She said the show was excellent, and she's proud of everyone.
"I was excited because I thought our show was way better than last year. It was high-energy this year, and I was just so excited to perform," Moreno said.
Moreno said some choreography moves needed to be worked on, and some girls needed more help with heels, but overall, exciting.
"Competitions are so fun, and it's just a fun experience to make new friends and experience life. It's really fun, and I'm so excited and have high hopes," Moreno said.
The 2025 season includes four competitions: Manteno High School, El Paso High School, Huntington North High School, and Quincy High School. The Cavaliers are thrilled and eagerly anticipate the start of the season.
